Globe to Globe Programme Announced

Thirty seven international companies tackle Shakespeare's works in 37 languages!

UKTW Editorial ImageAn unique six weeks of Shakespeare is promised for 2012 at The Globe as artistic Director Dominic Dromgoole reveals the full programme of productions. With each of the plays being produced in a different language and by a differeent international company this is a fabulous festival of the Bard which starts on his birthday (23rd April) and forms part of the Cultural Olympiad and London 2012 Festival.

Ticket prices will have an Olympic feel with multi-buy discounts named Biathalon, Triathalon etc. General ticket prices are from £5 to £35 and Yard Olympians will be able to see all 38 productions for just £100!

The London 2012 Cultural Olympiad is the largest cultural celebration in the history of the modern Olympic and Paralympic Movements. Spread over four years, it has been designed to give everyone in the UK a chance to be part of London 2012 through dance, music, theatre, the visual arts, fashion, film and digital innovation and it is hoped that it will inspire creativity especially among young people. The Cultural Olympiad will culminate in the London 2012 Festival with leading artists from all over the world together from 21 June 2012.
